Welcome to all of you first of all and sorry that we did not see this coming sooner. I hope all of you will have the desire to start anew and help build this thing from the ground up.
I will be serving as the commissioner for the new league. This will not be a three-headed system or anything like that. If anyone is interested in serving as an asst commissioner to help with league documentation and the trade council... please let me know. I feel that this is one of the reasons that the other league failed. There was not a single point of contact or voice for the league.
We have quite a bit to do and discuss..... so I guess the first questions would be these:
1. Do we want to build this league?
2. Complete redraft (all 40 majors and 60 minors) or do we want to keep the format of keeping a certain number of players from the teams you choose? I think for competitive balance if might be best to do a complete redraft. THough it would take a good amount of time.... well we do have till next April..lol

This is the email I received from the Yankees today:
> well it's true what everyone said about you. you're > an immature little baby. > i've never seen a commissioner so dispised as you > were, and in so many > leagues. how many leagues do you run? how many teams > hate you? after working > with you for only a few months, i can see why your > former commishes all > ended up quitting on you. you have a track record my > man. btw your the one > that's nuts. you're a dysfunctional druken baby with > some really deep rooted > issues. real deep rooted issues. and man, i've never > seen someone pregnant dog so > much f**king much. god it was like talking to a > little pregnant dog every f**king > day. pregnant dog pregnant dog pregnant dog. what pissed you off, who > pissed you off, > who screwed you over, who you wanted to kick out, > what didn't you like, what > or whom offended you, go have a few more drinks you > druken lush, and > pregnant dog to someone else with your mental quirks. yeah > i am nuts, don't your > forget that. ciao!
The only reason I post this is .. if everyone feels this way.. I will just go on with the one league though I would like to see our deeper fantasy league come to fruition

a complete re-draft probably would be easiest, easier to fill vacant owners if it is the complete team....either way I'm in.

Thanks for the support everyone. I know this is not an easy situation to deal with suddenly.
I like the idea of a complete redraft.....did we want to go with our plan in Triple of 16 teams.. 40 major... 60 minor?
If we decide to do that... we are looking at a long draft... which is fine of course if we have the owners that can handle it.
The next question would be when do we want to start. An issue is minor league eligibility and salaries.
If we try to start before the season ends.. it will be difficult to determine minor league eligible or not... now with a 40 man roster... is it that big of an issue... or do we not even worry about that now with the season not starting till next year for the league.
Salaries I would assume would be based on this current year salary (2006) and do we want to leave out FAs this offseason.... a lot of questions.
Or we can just draft and worry about the minor leaguers' eligibilty later...lol

We probably need to do a complete re-draft. That would make it easier to recruit new owners if needed.

I also support a redraft -- and I believe it would be clearer and create less questions if we start after the season ends. If we have involved enough owners, we can definitely get it done in time.

Wow the least he could have done is let us all know what he thought and just quit...deleting everything was a tad homosexual. Anyways, I too support a redraft. If we were to redraft I believe I would be able to stay in the league unless you still want to downsize. Re-drafting would just let me have the team I want and it would be pretty fun.

Iam up for anything, it's a shame all those hours we put into this league and now nothing.
I still would like to have the A's unless there is a better team to choose from.

Yanks is a real class act man. He needs some serious psychiatric help.
Well i'm all for the 16 team 100 year 100 million 40 man roster draft.
But before we get to drafting, we need to consider all possibilities as to avoid any frustration. By this i mean to emphasize what Twins already mentioned, we need to have the draft rules clear and concise.
Looking foward to some great baseball!
BTW enjoy the summer classic!

I would like to make a proposal to the league. I know this may sound stupid or even unnecessary, but bare with me...
I propose to increase the DL spots from 3 to 4 which reflects the subsquent increase in roster size from 30 to 40.
Thoughts?

The Yanks acted like an extreme AssHat by deleting the league....I'm still having problems remembering that actually happened.
AngelsGM in the league that was deleted here, and good with the idea of a total redraft.
I like the idea of upping the DL spots from 3 to 4, with the 40 major, 60 minor, 100 years, 100 salary
start with 7 premeir minor league spots?
still keep 3 waiver passes?

Is everyone alright with the $20 buy-in? It is not too much and at least gives a little more motivation for some.
I am recommending that someone else other than me actually serves as the asst commissioner and purchases CBS and handles the money.....
I can do bb.com every year in regards to the fee.. but $300 with no money in hand is another issue.... wifey would not be too happy
