Let's go ahead and keep recruiting... I think we should just go first pay ... first serve in regards to the league... shows interest and activity IMO

It depends on the last 3 owners..... but at this point... we are looking sometime soon after the World Series has completed.
If I can get the full listing of players that are major league eligible finsihed with the salaries.... it might be a little sooner.

anytime is ok with me, but I would much rather prefer a draft date closer to the '07 season if possible, maybe we can take a league vote on it.
thanks, Royals Gm aka David

Well.... we are talking about 70 rounds of drafting... in a league where we might get done with 3 rounds a week (after we get the initial excitement down)
Plus... with uploading to CBS, etc.... if we could be done by February 1... it would be great....
I have no problem saying November 1.... then factoring in breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years..... we could be there
Some of us have been through a huge draft like this... and though we all may say that it won't take that long. There are some owners that have not even checked in for the last two weeks that have paid.... so we still have some work to do.

I was thinking later October, early Nov for the start date. But I'll keep checking back in to see what you guys come up with.
The draft is gonna take a long time, then imputing all the rosters...

I wouldn't object to having the draft start earlier rather than later. A start date of around October 16th would not be unreasonable. It will be slow going and I suugest that we can't expect more than 6 picks per day. In other leagues that I have joined, the draft time was shortened to about 8 hours but the period between midnight and 6 AM EST was "off-the-clock" so to speak. We still only average about 6 picks/day.
