EXTENSION SPECIFICATIONS
ONE contract extension to an eligible free agent from your team is allowed at $2,000,000 increase (up to seven years - $14,000,000) per year
EXAMPLE:
You have one opportunity to extend Vlad at the end of the original contract where he has one year left. At that time... you can extend him up to five years at $2,000,000 each year
Vlad's current contract is $10,000,000 in his free agency year.
Extensions are:
Extend to $12,000,000 for one (1) year Extend to $14,000,000 for two (2) years Extend to $16,000,000 for three (3) years Extend to $18,000,000 for four (4) years Extend to $20,000,000 for five (5) years Extend to $22,000,000 for six (6) years Extend to $24,000,000 for seven (7) years
EXCEPTIONS
If a player's contract was extended in a prior free agency year, the player's contract is not eligible to be extended again by the same owner.
SCHEDULE
Extensions will be completed in the offseason before arbitration and free agency. Date to be determined yearly by the commissioner.
