MAJOR LEAGUE FREE AGENCY
Any player not currently on a roster is considered a free agent. Players will be acquired through a bidding process.
A major league player will have the bidding start at $300,000.
The player will be claimed officially by a team after a period of 48 hours has passed without a bid.
After a major league free agent has been claimed through bidding, the team must decide how long the contract will be for the player. The contract must fit under the team's 100 year maximum dispersement.
Team needs to sign the player through a team transaction and by updating their roster page.
MINOR LEAGUE FREE AGENCY
Teams that desire to sign a minor leaguer shall submit the name and his major league team system (to prevent mistaken identity) by Saturday midnight (EST) to the commissioner. If you are the only owner to list the player, he is yours immediately. If more than one team lists him, bidding will determine which team signs the player. Only the teams that submitted the player's name shall compete for the player.
A minor league player (See MINOR LEAGUE QUALIFICATIONS AND SALARY) will only be bidded on if two or more owners claim the same player. This bid will not be the salary but rather a one time signing bonus that will count against the winning owner's salary cap. Signing bonuses will start at $100,000.

DURING PLAYOFFS
Starting on the day our playoffs begin, new bidding threads may not be started. Threads with players that are actively being bid on may be completed.
Claiming minors also ceases during the playoffs.
Bidding and claiming reopens at the direction of the Commisssioner.
ABANDONED BIDS PENALTY
MAJOR LEAGUE FREE AGENCY
After 48 hours has passed with no further bidding, the high bidder must sign the player. The high bidder has 5 days to sign the player. If no action is taken, the player will be considered to have been waived with a minimum one year contract and a salary of whatever the high bid was. The Commissioner shall post the player with his contract and salary in Waivers.
The player's status is then governed by the rules in Waivers. The year and salary would count against the waiving team as the rules in Waivers apply.
MINOR LEAGUE FREE AGENCY

If no action is taken, the player will be considered to have been waived. The high bid (signing bonus) will be charged against the waiving team. The Commissioner shall post the player in Waivers.
